Who qualifies for SpouseWorks funding?
The SpouseWorks grant provides up to $4,000 of tuition assistance to eligible military spouses pursuing a license, certification, or associate degree — across enlisted, warrant officer, and officer ranks.
Always eligible
Spouses of active-duty service members in the following pay grades:
- • E-1 through E-5 (Enlisted)
- • W-1 through W-2 (Warrant Officer)
- • O-1 through O-2 (Officer)
Eligible on Title 10 orders
Spouses of service members on Title 10 active-duty orders in:
- • E-6 through E-9 (Enlisted)
- • W-3 (Warrant Officer)
- • O-3 (Officer)

Spouses of warrant officers W-1 through W-2 and officers O-1 through O-2 are always eligible. Spouses of E-6 through E-9, W-3, and O-3 are eligible while the service member is on Title 10 active-duty orders.
Eligibility is ultimately determined by the Department of Defense via SpouseWorks. World Education LLC and its partner colleges do not approve or deny SpouseWorks applications.
